02/13/2009 - Microsoft has released four security updates for Windows systems

Testing of the Microsoft critical update was successfully completed on Friday, February 13th. As a result, the update was automatically distributed to Windows systems that participate in the University's Windows Software Update Service (WSUS) on Saturday, February 14th. If you support any Windows systems that do not participate in WSUS, please test and apply this update as soon as possible.

On Tuesday, February 10th, Microsoft released two critical and two important security updates for its Windows software.
OIT will be testing the update against Windows systems running standard University administrative software and, if testing is successful, we will automatically distribute these updates to Windows systems that participate in the University's Windows Software Update Service (WSUS). While we normally distribute updates on Saturday in the early AM hours, we may release this update sooner due to the nature of the vulnerability this update addresses. As our testing progresses, we will update this article with the actual distribution date.
