03/10/2009 - The P-Synch password change process has been simplified
To prepare for the deployment of state-of-the-art, single sign-on technology, directory views tailored to specific applications, and enhanced authentication methods that can adapt to hacker threats, OIT is moving toward an environment where passwords will be synchronized across our LDAP and Active Directory systems. In support of this effort, the P-Synch Change Password Service was updated on Monday, March 9 to improve its interface and functionality.
The Change Password Service will be streamlined so that when customers activate or change their University password, all related passwords (LDAP, Windows, P-Synch) will be reset simultaneously, allowing users to easily update all passwords. The easy-to-remember web address for this service is www.princeton.edu/changepassword and helpful hints for changing passwords are at: http://kb.princeton.edu/9928. Please contact the OIT Help Desk at 8-HELP or helpdesk@princeton.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
