Architecture Review Board (ARB)

The Architecture Review Board (ARB) is a comprised of group of OIT technology managers who can assist you by reviewing the designs and implementation plans of any application system that you are planning to deploy in your department. The ARB can review both in-house systems and systems that will be hosted at a third-party site. While an ARB review of a system early in its development and/or implementation cycle is preferred, the ARB does consider systems that are already in production - especially when maintenance is being performed.
Requesting an ARB Review
The first step in obtaining an ARB review is to submit a request to the ARB's Chairperson, Paul Lynn, who can be reached by e-mail at plynn@princeton.edu. Paul will provide you with a questionnaire that can be used to brief the board members. Next, a meeting is scheduled with the board where your technical team and vendor representatives can describe the implementation and answer any questions regarding the system. The board will then give you its assessment in a report listing any concerns and suggested remediation.
