The Tikvah Project in Jewish Thought supports teaching, research, and publication on Jewish thought. The Project’s main goal is to integrate Jewish thought fully into the study of the humanities. This goal is based on the view that the Jewish tradition has an important contribution to make to the humanities as a whole—in politics, history, religion, philosophy—and that any educated person, Jewish or non-Jewish, ought to widen his/her academic perspective to include topics of Jewish thought and civilization. We hope that the implementation of this kind of curriculum will have long-lasting effects for the future of Jewish studies and the humanities.
