Getting Started  

Only staff who are properly initialized for use of the Leaves Calendar will be able to access it. Staff can request initialization HERE.

Once initialized, the Leaves Calendar Main Menu is the entry point to the Leaves Calendar, and is the appropriate page to bookmark.

From the Main Menu, the usual way to proceed will be to click on one of the three quick-access links:
LAST Month, THIS Month, or NEXT Month.

A login is required, using the standard Princeton University NetID and password. The email ("LDAP") password is the one used.

Leaves for Monthly-paid employees are designated in periods of either full or half days by selecting the chosen leave from the pull-down menu within a day's box. Clicking the "Half Day" checkbox will record a half-day leave (an empty box indicates a full-day leave).

Leaves for BiWeekly-paid employees are designated to the nearest half-hour. The only exception is 7.25 hours which, for some employees, constitutes a standard day. To designate a leave on any day, the type of leave must be selected from the pull-down menu within that day's box.

After leaves are designated for as many days within the month as the user wishes, clicking on one of the buttons that display the word "Update" will enter the designated leaves into the database.

Leaves may be cancelled or removed from the database by selecting the blank area at the top of the scrolling list of leaves as the day's "activity". The half-day checkbox (Monthly) or number-of-hours scrolling list (BiWeekly) must also be blank. Then an Update button is clicked to record the change.
