Active Allyship: CIStemic Allyship – Being an Active Ally to Trans* People
This workshop is for allies who have a grasp on terms like transgender & cisgender. We’ll develop a greater understanding of cisgender privilege, trans* oppression, and common challenges for trans* allies. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, or other devices encouraged. This session will be facilitated by Andy Cofino, LGBT Center Program Coordinator, and Chelsea Fullerton, Program Coordinator in the Office of Diversity Affairs at the NYU School of Medicine.

Active Allyship is an educational series focused on how to develop tools to be a better ally. Learn ways to be an ally around ability, race, gender and gender identity, spirituality, sexuality, as well as being an ally to yourself. We encourage you to attend multiple workshops.
