Faculty & Staff Ally Project - Transgender 101
Over the past ten years, there has been an increase in the number of students and employees at Princeton who identify as transgender or genderqueer. However, there is still a lot of misunderstanding and misinformation about the transgender and gender variant experience. This program will focus on ways to be an ally to trans and gender variant students, staff, and faculty, and is open to all members of the Princeton University community. The session will also discuss the use of language, what it means to identify as transgender or gender non-conforming, the experience of transgender students and employees, and resources you can utilize as an ally. This session will be led by Sara Bendoraitis, LGBTA Center Director at American University. Register at www.princeton.edu/training.
