The Alumni Councils Committee on Academic Programs for Alumni (CAPA) selected Manu based on the excellence of his dissertation project, his ability to communicate in an engaging manner to a broad public outside his discipline, and on the merits of his distinguished career at Princeton. CAPA believes that Manus research typifies the innovative and dynamic work being done by Princeton graduate students. Manu is a 4th year MAE graduate student in Prof. McAlpines group.
The Committee on Academic Programs for Alumni is entrusted with engaging Princeton alumni, both graduate and undergraduate, in the intellectual life of the University. This will be the sixth year of the Emerging Alumni Scholars Program (formerly known as the Hoffman Scholars program). The goal of this award program is to honor outstanding graduate students and introduce their work to the alumni community.
