A $25,000 BRAINSTORM
Princeton University professor Craig Arnold, on left, and his student Christian Theriault took first prize (and $25,000) for their sound-based camera technology, TAG Optics, at the 2011 Keller Innovation Forum on April 7. The university also awarded $10,000 to the forum's second-place winner, SuryaTech, which could make solar as affordable as fuel oil in three years. Third place ($5,000) "Targeted Multifunctional Imaging Nanoparticles" -- technology for disease treatments using nanotechnology.
