Dick Miles has been named the Robert Porter Patterson Professor effective July 1, 2011
This is a wonderful recognition of Dick's many contributions, in research and in his professional life. Set up by the Board of Trustees in memory of Robert Portert Patterson and his services as chairman of the Forrestal Memorial Committee, which helped Princeton to provide expanded facilities for research in science and engineering represented by the Forrestal research center. Previous holders are A.A. Nikolsky, S.M. Bogdonoff and Garry Brown.
