Civic Engagement & Public Service

Inspired by Princeton's informal motto "Princeton in the Nation's Service and the Service of Humanity," all members of the Princeton community — undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff and alumni — are encouraged to be civically engaged. Whether contributing to scholarly understanding of public problems, performing direct service with community organizations, or working with NGOs or governments worldwide, Princetonians regularly work for the public good.

To make Princeton's unofficial motto tangible for all members of the University community, the Pace Center for Civic Engagement serves as the campus advocate and central resource for civic engagement at Princeton.
