Precautionary boil water advisory continues
Posted May 2, 2001; 10:11 a.m.
A precautionary advisory to boil drinking water issued Tuesday for parts of New Jersey, including the Princeton campus, continues for another 24 hours.
The advisory was issued after the Elizabethtown Water Co. experienced a break on a major transmission main Monday night. The company has repaired the break and reports no problems with water pressure. It extended the advisory as a precautionary measure.
Consumers should boil water to be used for drinking for three to five minutes. No precautions need to be taken for water to be used for bathing.
