Darnton earns honorary degree

Robert Darnton, the Shelby Cullom Davis '30 Professor of European History at Princeton, received an honorary degree this summer from the University of Warwick in Coventry, England.
Considered one of the most significant social and cultural historians of Europe working in the United States today, Darnton conducts research on 18th-century France, the history of books and censorship. He has been a Princeton faculty member since 1968 and an honorary professor in the University of Warwick's history department since 1996.
