exhibition in the Milberg Gallery of Firestone Library that celebrates the 1940 founding of a unique Princeton collection will close on Oct. 7.
A final tour of "For the Love of Books and Prints: Elmer Adler and the Graphic Arts Collection at Princeton University Library" will be offered by curator Rebecca Davidson at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7. Those interested should meet in the Milberg Gallery.
The exhibition showcases the history and arts of the book through the finest examples of printing, typography, binding, papermaking, calligraphy and illustration. It provides fascinating glimpses of the history of the revival of fine printing in early 20th-century America and of campus life at Princeton in the 1940s.
