Residents back in Lawrence Apartments after bomb threat

Residents of the 12-floor high-rise at Lawrence Apartments had to evacuate the building Monday morning, after a note containing a bomb threat was discovered by the building superintendent. Bomb-sniffing dogs searched the building and did not find a bomb.

The residents were evacuated at about 7:40 a.m., and a room-by-room search was conducted. Shortly after 10 a.m., the building was declared safe and residents were allowed to return.

Lawrence houses graduate students and their families.

Princetons public safety department and township police are investigating the source of the bomb threat.

Any member of the campus community found responsible for such acts will be subject to University disciplinary action and prosecution under State and Federal law.
