The board of trustees of Princeton Summer Theater, Inc. has approved the proposal of a team of undergraduate managers to reopen Hamilton Murray Theater on the University campus for a season of summer stock. The Princeton student administrators, led by junior Amanda Brandes, plan a season running from late June through August, and will announce details of their repertory in about two weeks.
"My colleagues and I are tremendously excited to present a summer season of theatre that will appeal to all ages and hopefully generate enthusiasm in the Princeton community and beyond," commented Brandes.
Board president,Geoff Peterson, said, "We are thrilled that the vitality these talented pre-professionals bring to theatre will be on display once again."
Princeton Summer Theater was closed during the summers of 1999 and 2000, allowing its home in Hamilton Murray Theater to undergo a million-dollar renovation.
