Tilghman, Shapiro to speak on stem cell research, Oct. 1

Princeton University President Shirley M. Tilghman and Past President Harold T. Shapiro speak about the scientific and ethical debate over stem cell research Monday, Oct. 1.
The lecture, titled "Stem Cell Research: The Great Divide," will begin at 7:30 p.m. in McDonnell A01.
Tilghman headed the National Institutes of Health committee that established the guidelines for stem cell research, and Shapiro has served as chair of the National Bioethics Advisory Commission.
The lecture and question-and-answer session is being organized by the Student Bioethics Forum.
