Abbate awarded NEH grant

Carolyn Abbate, Princeton professor of music, has been awarded a national grant to support a summer seminar on opera.
The $135,422 award from the National Endowment for the Humanities will fund "Opera: Interpretation, Reading, Staging," a seminar for college and university faculty members.
The grant was among 389 totaling $20.9 million recently awarded by the NEH to museums, colleges and other educational institutions across the United States.
