Steve Forbes to speak on possibility of war with Iraq, Nov. 5

Steve Forbes, editor-in-chief of Forbes Magazine and a director of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, will speak on "What Happens After Iraq?" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, in McCosh 50.

Forbes, a 1970 Princeton graduate and two-time candidate for the Republican presidential nomination, is expected to share his views on the possibility of war with Iraq and its implications for U.S. policy. A question-and-answer session will follow his remarks.

Forbes' talk is sponsored by the Princeton Committee Against Terrorism . Admission is limited to members of the University community on a first-come, first-served basis. Audience members must be able to provide valid University ID at the entrance to McCosh 50. Large bags, signs and food will not be permitted. The talk will be Webcast; viewing information is available online .

The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies is a nonprofit and nonpartisan group that promotes informed debate about policies and positions that will most effectively abolish international terrorism and that works to improve education about democracies and to promote democracy in troubled regions around the globe.

The Princeton Committee Against Terrorism is a bipartisan student organization founded in the aftermath of Sept. 11 to advocate a strong stance against terrorism and to build campus support for the war on terrorism. Inquiries should be directed to pcat@princeton.edu .
