New Republic editor to discuss war on terror, Feb. 7

Peter Beinart, editor of The New Republic, will give a lecture on How Liberals Can Better Win the War on Terror at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in the Whig Hall Senate Chamber.

Beinart writes TRB, a column in The New Republic, and is a contributor to Newsweek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and The Atlantic Monthly. His columns since Sept. 11 have examined various aspects of the war on terror, including the need for nation building as a response to terrorism, India-Pakistan relations and the many responses to the conflict in the United States.

The lecture is sponsored by the Princeton Committee Against Terrorism , a student activist group established in response to the tragedies of Sept. 11, and the American Whig-Cliosophic Society , Princetons student debating organization.
