Trussell appointed acting dean of WWS

James Trussell , associate dean of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, has been named acting dean of the school, effective Feb. 1.

Michael Rothschild, who announced last fall that he would be completing his service as dean in June 2002, has decided to leave his position as of Feb. 1. Trussell, the John Foster Dulles Professor in International Affairs and professor of economics and public affairs, will serve as acting dean until a new dean is appointed.

A search was launched last fall, with the hope that a new dean would be in place by July 1.

Richard Ullman, the David K.E. Bruce Professor of International Affairs, has been named acting director of the Center of International Studies, which Rothschild has been directing on an interim basis while serving as dean. A permanent director of the center will be appointed following consultation with its faculty.
