Activist Larry Hamm '78 to discuss Princeton's process of change, March 9

Larry Hamm will reflect on his experiences as a community organizer at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9, Betts Auditorium, Architecture Building.

In April 1978, Hamm led more than 100 students as they occupied Nassau Hall as part of a campaign to pressure Princeton to stop investing in apartheid South Africa. Hamm is now a community organizer in Newark, N.J. and chairman of the People's Organization for Progress . He will recall his experiences from 1978 and will speak about the process of change at Princeton.
