Louis Armstrong and early jazz years featured in performance, March 2

The Princeton University Concert Jazz Ensemble , directed by Anthony D. J. Branker, will perform the works of Louis Armstrong and others in "Hotter Than That: Louis Armstrong and the Early Years of Jazz" at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 2, in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall.
The ensemble will be joined by guest artist and trumpet virtuoso, Michael Philip Mossman. The evening's program will spotlight the music of Louis Armstrong's Hot Five and Hot Seven recording sessions as well as the early jazz influenced compositions of Lil Hardin Armstrong, King Oliver, Fletcher Henderson, and Duke Ellington.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for students if they purchase them before the show from any jazz ensemble member. $10 for students at the door. And $5 for children under 12. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 609-258-5000.
