Business plan contest, Feb. 23

The Princeton University Entrepreneurship Club will hold its fourth annual business plan contest Saturday, Feb. 23. The final round of the contest is open to the public and will be held 12:30 p.m. in Room 006 of the Friend Center for Engineering.

This year, seven teams of students have entered business plans in the contest, hoping to win a share of $10,000 in prizes. Judges will select the four best plans in a morning round of judging. At the afternoon session in the Friend Center, judges will pick the winners. The first-place team will win $5,000, the second-place team will win $3,000, and the third-place team will win $2,000.

Audience members at the afternoon event will have a chance to guess the top three finalists, and those who choose correctly will be entered in a raffle for a Microsoft Xbox video-game console.

Nine entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and investors will serve as judges. Howard Cox, a general partner in the Greylock venture capital firm and member of the class of 1964, donated cash prizes and funds for expenses, and the U-Store provided additional support.
