Rodriguez-Iturbe receives Stockholm Water Prize

at a ceremony in Stockholm August 15.
The prize, known informally as the "Nobel Prize of Water," is given annually by the Stockholm Water Foundation and carries $150,000 award. As previously announced , the foundation selected Rodriguez-Iturbe for the award in March, citing his many contributions to the basic understanding of how water cycles between the oceans, the atmosphere and the continents.
