Paper wins award for distinguished contribution

A paper co-written by Marion Fourcade-Gourinchas has been selected by the American Sociological Association as the winner of the 2002 Political Sociology Distinguished Contribution to Scholarship Award.
Fourcade-Gourinchas will be a research staff member and lecturer in Princeton's Department of Sociology in the coming academic year. She wrote "The Structural Contexts of Civic Engagement" (American Sociological Review, December 2001) with Evan Schofer, an assistant professor of sociology at the University of Minnesota.
The award will be presented at the political sociology business meeting at the American Sociological Association conference this summer.
