Grammy Award winning saxophonist to perform at Jazz concert, May 11

Grammy Award winning saxophonist Antonio Hart will perform with the University Concert Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble II and Wayne Shorter Ensemble at 8 p.m. Saturday, May 11, in Richardson Auditorium, Alexander Hall.
Hart gained international attention as a member of trumpeter Roy Hargrove's Quintet. He received a Grammy Award nomination for "Best Jazz Instrumental Solo" in 1997 for his album "Here I Stand." Hart teaches saxophone and small ensembles at Queens College in New York.
Tickets are $20 for general seating, $10 for students with University I.D. and $5 for children under 12, and may be purchased at the box office in Alexander Hall in person or by calling 258-5000. Tickets can be purchased from a Jazz Ensemble member for $5 each.
