Black Arts Company performs in 'The Lounge,' May 3-4

Theater, dance and song will be showcased in "The Lounge," the spring extravaganza presented by the Black Arts Company at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 3-4, in Forbes Black Box.
The group's drama wing will showcase scenes from "A Raisin in the Sun" and "The Colored Museum." The dance members will present hip-hop and lyrical interpretations of modern music. There will be a special performance by Culturally Yours , an a cappella group dedicated to sharing music written, performed or popularized by persons of African descent.
General admission is $3, and tickets will be sold at the door. Contact Mikaela Tyson for reservations.
