Princeton Atelier features music and poetry, May 1

A night of diverse music and poetry will be presented by Princeton Atelier 2002 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, in Richardson Auditorium.

The atelier concept was initiated by Princeton Professor Toni Morrison. The program brings acclaimed artists together with students to create projects in a workshop environment. This year's project integrated poetry and composition to create short operettas.

The evening's production will feature Brazilian-style music, as well as modern-classical, folk and rock. Participants include Yusef Komunyakaa, Aleta Hayes, William Banfield, Thurston Drake '02, Khalil Sullivan '04, Dan Iglesia '03, Phillip Blodget '02, David Turner '02, Annie Lee '03 and Phillip Isles '03.
