Princeton student performing arts groups will be featured in a fund-raiser for the Ghana-based West African AIDS Foundation at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, in 101 Friend Center.
John Bell, an HIV-positive Vietnam War veteran, will speak at intermission.
The fund-raiser is part of a series of events being held on campus in honor of World AIDS Week. Also in honor of World AIDS Week, the Student Global AIDS Campaign has placed red lights in front of Robertson Hall through Friday, Dec. 5, in memory of AIDS victims.
The Dec. 4 event will help raise money for the West African AIDS Foundation to offer testing, counseling, drug treatment and other services to persons living with HIV/AIDS. Recommended donations are $5.
The fund-raiser is sponsored by the Student Global AIDS Campaign, the Princeton AIDS Initiative, the Program in African Studies, Akwaaba, the Princeton Justice Project, the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students and the Undergraduate Student Government Projects Board.
