Rosemary Ku, a member of Princeton's class of 2005, has been elected vice president of community service of the National Leadership Council.
The council is the student governing body of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, a highly selective honors organization that recognizes first- and second-year undergraduates who excel academically. As part of the council, Ku will help set the policies and the direction of the society.
Founded in 1994, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars was established on the principle that with scholarship comes a responsibility to develop leadership and a duty to perform service. Students are invited to join the society based on academic performance early in their college careers. The society currently has some 190 active chapters and more than 300,000 members.
