Oppenheimer to speak about global warming, Oct. 9

Michael Oppenheimer, Princeton professor of geosciences and international affairs, will speak about U.S. policy on global warming and the Climate Stewardship Act at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in 302 Frist Campus Center.

The talk, titled "The Hot Topic: Taking a Stand on Global Warming," is sponsored by the Princeton Environmental Network. Oppenheimer is Princeton's Albert Milbank Professor of Geosciences and International Affairs and directs the Program in Science, Technology and Environmental Policy. He came to Princeton in 2001 after more than two decades at Environmental Defense where he served as chief scientist and manager of the Global and Regional Atmosphere Program.
