Shabazz to speak on Malcolm X, Dec. 9

Attallah Shabazz will speak on "Malcolm X Shabazz: The Man and Father Away From the Podium" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, in McCosh 10.
Shabazz is the eldest of the six daughters of civil rights leader Malcolm X and Betty Shabazz. A producer, director, writer and motivational speaker, she will reflect on her father's life and work.
Shabazz is the founder of The Pilgrimage Foundation, Tapestry Bridge, Legacy Inc. and the Malcolm X Shabazz Birthplace and Foundation. She has written commentaries and articles for newspapers and periodicals, and recently penned a new foreword to her father's classic, "The Autobiography of Malcolm X." She also is completing her memoirs, titled "From Mine Eyes."
The event, which is open to the University community, is being sponsored by the Princeton Association of Black Women, the Undergraduate Student Government Student Groups Project Board, the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Students, the Venture Fund, the Women's Center, the Fields Center for Equality and Cultural Understanding and the Program in African-American Studies.
