Frank Taplin Jr., a member of Princeton's class of 1937 and a longtime donor, neighbor and friend of the University, died Sunday, May 11, of heart failure. He was 87.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 8, in the University Chapel .
Among his many gifts to the University was Taplin Auditorium in Fine Hall, the recital hall used frequently for concerts by the Department of Music and professional artists.
In lieu of flowers, the Taplin family has requested that donations be made in his name to organizations supporting causes that Taplin had championed: education, music, the environment and human rights.
