The Princeton women's lacrosse team celebrated its 2003 national championship by traveling to Washington, D.C., to meet with President Bush at the White House on Monday, Nov. 17.
"Princeton is the only team here this year who was here last year," Bush said, referring to the lacrosse team's consecutive NCAA titles. "I asked the team if they were going to be here next year as well, and one of them said, 'Are you?'"
The team's members also met with Republican Sen. Bill Frist of Tennessee, a member of Princeton's class of 1974, and Democratic Sen. Paul Sarbanes of Maryland, a 1954 Princeton graduate and University trustee.
