Conference focuses on information needs, Sept. 25-26

conference on "Migration, Urbanization and Health -- The Role of Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems for Monitoring, Surveillance and Program Evaluation" is scheduled for Thursday and Friday, Sept. 25-26, in 300 Wallace Hall.

The conference will bring together scholars and policymakers to focus on the complex dynamics of rapid urbanization and its health consequences. They will discuss the contemporary migration, urbanization and health nexus, its historical roots and the information needs for the resolution of poverty and health problems.

The conference is sponsored by the Program in Urbanization and Migration and the Center for Health and Wellbeing of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
