Ellsberg to speak on future of nuclear weapons, Feb. 10

Political activist Daniel Ellsberg will speak on "The Future of Nuclear Weapons" at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, in Dodds Auditorium, Robertson Hall.

A former Marine company commander and Pentagon analyst, Ellsberg made headlines in 1971 when he released the Pentagon Papers to The New York Times and The Washington Post. The 7,000-page, top-secret study exposed the motives behind U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Since the end of the Vietnam War, Ellsberg has been a lecturer, writer and activist on the dangers of the nuclear era and unlawful interventions.

The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs .
