Guy Gadowsky, who helped lift the hockey program at Alaska Fairbanks to new levels, has been named the head coach of the Princeton men's hockey team.
"We are delighted to appoint Guy as our new men's hockey coach," said Director of Athletics Gary Walters. "Guy is one of the top young coaches in college hockey today and is committed to building a strong program here at Princeton. We look forward to a bright future for Princeton hockey."
Gadowsky spent five seasons at Alaska Fairbanks. He led the Nanooks to their first 20-win season in 2001-02 as the team finished with a 22-12-3 record and was ranked 11th nationally at the end of the season. He followed that up with 15 wins the following season and 16 last season.
