Former EPA official to discuss Middle East, April 12

A former Environmental Protection Agency official working with the Middle East will present a lecture on "Middle East Environmental Cooperation: Quiet Opportunities" at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Lee Pasarew was director of the EPA's Middle East program until January 2004. The program sought to promote environmental cooperation among the countries in the region in an effort to improve the environmental condition and to further the peace process. In addition to the Middle East, Pasarew managed environmental assistance programs in Central and Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union and Mexico during his 23 years with the agency.
The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs .
