American evangelicals, pop culture, Iraq War discussed, April 15

A lecture titled "Making It Right: American Evangelicals, Popular Culture and the Iraq War" will be presented at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Melani McAlister, assistant professor of American studies at George Washington University, will lead the talk, which is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Center for the Study of Religion .
McAlister teaches undergraduate courses in cultural theory, media studies and 20th-century U.S. cultural history. From 1998-99, she was a visiting fellow at Princeton's Center for the Study of Religion.
