Community House event runs through Nov. 14

University Trustee Elizabeth Duffy, a member of the class of 1988 and head master at the Lawrenceville School, will speak about the importance of community service at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the Fields Center for Equality and Cultural Understanding .

Duffy's talk will help kick off a weekend fund-raising event for the Community House summer computer camp, a program aimed at exposing local middle school students to computers and technology. Kiki Jamieson, interim director of the Pace Center for Community Service, will deliver opening remarks at 5 p.m.

Holiday gift items such as cards, stationery, jewelry and toys will be sold from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13; and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14. For more information, contact Marjorie Young .
