Viroli to speak on rhetoric, April 15

Maurizio Viroli will deliver a lecture titled "The Art of Eloquence and the Duties of the Citizen" at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 15, in the Senate Chamber of Whig Hall.
Viroli, a professor in the Department of Politics , is widely considered a master in powerful oratory skills. His lecture will focus on the value of rhetorical eloquence in today's society as well as a lesson on the skills necessary to speak effectively, formulate arguments and persuade audiences.
This is the first event in the American Whig-Cliosophic Society Speakers Program Series on Rhetoric.
