Events honor French director Mesguich, Nov. 16 and 18

Events scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday, Nov. 16 and 18, will honor the work of Daniel Mesguich, one of France's leading theater directors and a teacher at the Conservatoire National Superieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris.

Students from the Program in Theater and Dance and the L'Atelier French theater workshop will read excerpts from Mesguich's favorite plays in English and French at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at the Matthews Acting Studio, 185 Nassau St. The readings are co-sponsored by the Center for French Studies .

Mesguich will talk about his work in a lecture delivered in French at 8 p.m. Nov. 18 in McCosh 10. His lecture is sponsored by the Center for French Studies, the Department of French and Italian and L'Atelier.
