Drum celebration marks end of reading period, Jan. 13

"Release Yourself," a drum celebration marking the end of reading period, will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 13, in the University Chapel.

Students will be given hand drums and are encouraged to participate in the performance, which will be led by percussionist Leon Mobley. Currently performing with Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Mobley also has recorded with artists such as Mick Jagger, Quincy Jones and Michael Jackson, and has led drum circles on the Princeton campus.

The event is sponsored by the Modern Improvisational Music Association , the Office of Religious Life and the Undergraduate Student Government .
