Ph.D. programs in architecture examined, April 2-3

A conference on "Discipline Building: A Short History of the Ph.D. in Architecture" is set for Friday and Saturday, April 2-3, in Betts Auditorium, School of Architecture.

The event will run from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday and from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday. Panelists will explore the new forms of teaching and scholarship that have emerged since the inception of Ph.D. programs in architecture in the 1960s.

The conference is sponsored by contributions from the Graham Foundation and by Princeton's School of Architecture, Graduate School, Program in Media and Modernity, McGraw Center for Teaching and Learning, Department of History and Department of Art and Archaeology.
