Post-Zwicker named science education head at PPPL

Andrew Post-Zwicker has been appointed head of the science education program at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory .
Post-Zwicker joined PPPL's science education program in 1997 as a senior program leader and became lead scientist for the program in 2000.
Current education programs at PPPL include workshops for students and teachers, a national undergraduate fellowship research program, undergraduate laboratory internships, the New Jersey regional competition of the National Science Bowl and the "Science on Saturday" lecture series.
Since joining PPPL, Post-Zwicker has created the Plasma Science Education Laboratory and intensive summer programs on plasma for high school teachers and students.
A graduate of Bard College, Post-Zwicker holds a master's degree and Ph.D. in physics from Johns Hopkins University. He teaches a writing seminar at Princeton on "The Ethics of Human Experimentation."
PPPL, funded by the Department of Energy and managed by the University, is a collaborative national center for science and innovation leading to an attractive fusion energy source.
