Lecture set on Taiwan election, Feb. 24

A lecture titled "The Taiwan Election and Cross-Strait Tension" will be presented at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, in 16 Robertson Hall.
Shelly Rigger, the Brown Associate Professor of East Asian Politics at Davidson College and a 1984 Woodrow Wilson School graduate, will speak. She has served as a consultant to the U.S. government and has participated in workshops to prepare foreign service officers to Taiwan and China. In 1996-97 she was the film consultant for a documentary titled "Tug of War: The Story of Taiwan," produced by WGBH.
The lecture is sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and the Department of East Asian Studies .
