Kiser to speak on 'causes of bureaucratization,' April 22

Edgar Kiser, professor of sociology at the University of Washington, will deliver a lecture titled "The Structure of States: Causes of Bureaucratization in Premodern Political Systems" at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 22, in 1 Robertson Hall.
Kiser's research focuses on political sociology and comparative-historical sociology. He is the author of dozens of published sociological and political science journal articles, book reviews and comments.
The lecture, sponsored by the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies , is free and open to the public.
