Joe Scott, a former player and assistant coach at Princeton who coached the Air Force basketball team to unprecedented heights, has been named Princeton's new head basketball coach.
Scott, 39, a 1987 Princeton graduate who has spent the last four seasons as head coach at Air Force, will be introduced as Princeton's 27th head coach of men's basketball at a press conference Friday.
Scott succeeds John Thompson, who was named the head coach at Georgetown University. Thompson, a 1988 Princeton graduate, led Princeton to three Ivy titles in four years as head coach.
