Women's lacrosse team plays for national championship, May 23

Princeton's women's lacrosse team will compete for the national championship in the NCAA tournament at Princeton Stadium Sunday, May 23.
The top-seeded Tigers, the two-time defending champions, won the right to compete in the finals by defeating Vanderbilt 11-3 in a national semi-final game on Friday, May 21. In the other semi-final game, Virginia beat Georgetown 12-9.
The Princeton vs. Virginia game, a rematch of last year's championship game won by Princeton 8-7, will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 14 and under.
In addition, the NCAA is holding a multisport interactive fair from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Strubing Field. The fair is open to adults and children, and admission is free. Also, a free lacrosse clinic for girls and boys ages 10 through 18 -- led by collegiate coaches and student-athletes -- will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Sunday in Jadwin Gym.
